St Michael's Estate Regeneration Board

Many members of the Regeneration Team Rita Fagan, Ailish Comerford, Michael O'Flannagn, Gerry McDermott, John Bissett, Caroline McNulty, Natasha Farrell, Nicky Fahey are also members of the Regeneration Board.

St Michael's Estate Regeneration Board was established in 2005. The Board meets on a monthly basis. It has its own independent chairperson Finbarr Flood and a CEO Eadaoin Ni Chléirigh whose role is to drive all aspects of the regeneration and to monitor & oversee the physical & social regeneration of St Michael's Estate. The core objectives are to:

  • Monitor, oversee & participate in the physical & social regeneration process.
  • Approve the final master plan presented by the preferred bidder.
  • Ensure residents are consulted on all aspects of the redevelopment.
  • Participate in & monitor the liaison structure between the private developer, Dublin City Council & the Regeneration Board.

The board has identified seven social regeneration themes:

  • Community Health and Well-being
  • Education
  • Childcare
  • Employment and Training
  • Cultural Life (including Arts and Heritage)
  • Quality of Life and Community Safety
  • Sports and Recreation
